Dr. John Millar brings his many years of experience dealing with the darkest time of the year to this seasonally relevant course. Whether or not you like winter, the truth is that the days are shorter, precipitation often brings snow and ice, and ailments are harder to avoid. But debilitating flu, frostbite from exposure to the elements, “winter blues,” and skin dry enough to seem like a lizard’s pelt can be swiftly dealt with, despite the continued cold. Dr. Millar has good advice for these and many other cold-weather woes. Using case examples and anecdotes from his long-standing practice, he will walk you through sound homeopathic management of all the disorders that descend on us in the wintertime.
Get your compass ready! Dr. Millar will explain how to use such rubrics as Northwest wind and Northeast wind. He will also show how to best utilize Sunlight ameliorates and Snowy weather. Single-remedy rubrics that relate to winter will be explored, such as Mind; fear, motoring, snow in and Vision; loss of vision, blindness; afternoon; snow, from. Or, on the positive side, Mind; snow, desires. And who knew that mold was a concern in winter? It can be, when snows begin to melt, and Dr. Millar will explain which rubrics are best for those with wintertime mold sensitivities. All of the winter rubrics, and when to use them, will become crystal clear during this 12-hour course.
Dr. Millar will plow through many smaller remedies as well — demonstrating what to use when the polycrest has failed to act. You will learn useful tidbits about these lesser known substances that will benefit your homeopathic clients for many years to come, and you will also understand the differentials between similar drug pictures. ABOUT John Millar
Dr. John Millar, BSc, ND, DHANP, CCH, HOM received his Bachelors Degree in Experimental Psychology from Trent University in 1978. After a few years as a teacher and musician, he attended one year of pre-med studies at the University of Waterloo, and then on to the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, where he graduated in 1988 with a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree. From that point forward, he has studied homoeopathy throughout the world with the likes of André Saine, Jeremy Sherr, Vassilis Ghegas, Rajan Sankaran, and others, receiving his DHANP in 1999.
