Dr. Frederik Schroyens, MD, is the Chief Architect of the Synthesis Repertory and has edited many versions of this fundamental work.
He is a 1977 medical graduate of the State University of Ghent (Belgium) and a 1978 graduate of the Homeopathic Training Course at the Faculty for Homeopathy in London (MFHom). In 1981 Schroyens became the president of VSU, the largest homoeopathic college in Belgium.
One of the earliest RADAR users in 1986, Schroyens became the homoeopathic coordinator of the RADAR project. He worked closely with George Vithoulkas to incorporate his work into the repertory, as well as working with a team of homeopaths to cull the homoeopathic literature for additions and corrections to Kent's Repertory. In 1993 Dr. Schroyens edited a printed version of Synthesis, the expanded Repertory linked to the RADAR project.
Unveiling the Language of the Patient
Any prescription is based on the language of the patient, verbal and non-verbal. Yet one homeopath hears "this" and prescribes Abies canadensis, and another one sees "that" and prescribes Zingiber ofcinale. Why is it that, too often, there appears to be an alphabet of possible prescriptions for the same patient's story?
The language of the patient is transcribed, standardized, and in fact organized into the language of the Repertory. It is not possible to find the correct rubric without thoroughly understanding the language of the patient.
Through case examples, Frederik will show how theory and practice blend into successful experience case after case after case. He brings his experience and engaging teaching style to a weekend of case management strategies grounded in effective case work, clear assessment, and effective decision-making at each critical point in a case.
