A Road Map to the Elements

Archibel, the creator of RADAR and Encyclopedia Homeopathica, developed the Scholten Module in close cooperation with Dr. Jan Scholten [bio]. It was designed to enable homeopaths to work with Jan's systematic concepts, as presented in his book Homeopathy and the Elements.

Jan Scholten's system is organized according to his breakthrough understanding of the relationship between the structure of Mendelejev's Periodic Table of Elements and the Homeopathic remedies that are prepared from those elements.

NARROWING THE CHOICES
Like RADAR itself, the Scholten Module is not designed to choose a remedy for the patient. Rather it helps to narrow the remedy choices, so you can do further research into the suggested remedy or remedies.

Fortunately this research is easy to do with the Scholten module - the complete text of Homeopathy and the Elements is embedded into the program.

FOREWORD

In 1995 I began developing my method of Concepts and Themes in relation to the periodic table. Using my method, you find concepts that express the symptoms of the case - rather than using the symptoms themselves, which may be misleading at times.

You can find a full explanation of my method in my book Homeopathy and the Elements. One of the nicest features of this Module is that the entire book is contained within it for reading and using while examining your cases. This combination makes the Module the best tool to master my method.

CONCEPTS
Learning the concepts in relation to the elements of the periodic table expands and deepens your understanding of the related remedies.

Viewing the concepts that relate to every separate element enhances your ability to prescribe remedies made from a combination of elements. You then have the ability to prescribe remedies for which there is very little information, or even no information at all.

THEMES
Understanding the themes that are related to a remedy like Calcarea, and looking at the similarities running through different Calcarea compounds enables you to prescribe precisely the right compound for your patient.

When you are using the Module you may be directed to a remedy you never heard of. In such instances the best approach is to perform an in-depth check the homeopathic similarity of this remedy to your case. When you understand Ferrum and Oxidatum separately, then prescribing Ferrum-oxidatum isn't so strange any more.

AN OPEN SYSTEM
My method is an open system of group analysis in which you will find freedom to express your understanding of the case. I am sure that using my Module will open new realms for your homeopathic prescribing.
