The National College of Naturopathic Medicine is a private non-profit institution, the oldest accredited naturopathic college in North America.

Founded in 1956, this four-year, post-graduate institution offers a doctoral degree in naturopathic medicine and its graduates are eligible to sit for examination in states that license naturopathic doctors (NDs).

Institutions that offer an accredited four-year Naturopathic Doctor (ND) degree program, like NCNM, provide education in the basic and clinical sciences common to all medical education, in addition to diagnostic and therapeutic approaches unique to naturopathic medicine.

These colleges have campus-based clinics and satellites that afford naturopathic medical students the opportunity to observe and practice (under supervision) naturopathic medicine in a broad range of settings, bridging a variety of healthcare delivery systems and therapies.
