"... one of our most valuable books; everyone needs one."
Joe Lillard
Washington Homeopathic Products

"We owe Jay Yasgur a debt of gratitude for a useful job well done.

In these pages may be found at last the meaning of 'tetter' and 'stomacace' and a multitude of archaic terms that most of us have never heard of but can be found in our classic texts on almost every page."
Richard Moskowitz M.D.

"...very useful... I am glad to have it"
Harris L. Coulter Ph.D.

"Jay Yasgur's DICTIONARY is the Dorland of our homeopathic collection. It is invaluable to our students who often have difficulties with the meaning of the old-fashioned medical terms used in the older homeopathic literature."
Friedhelm Kirchfeld
Librarian
National College of Naturopathic Medicine

Heritage

Julian Winston writes:
One of the best references one can have. It contains definitions of all those unusual words in Kent's Repertory that you always wondered about, plus definitions of all the antiquated medical terminology that you come across in all those old books.

Furthermore, it contains definitions of almost every aspect of homeopathy including over 400 mini-biographies. The author also briefly defines a great number of holistic health modalities now in vogue. The information is accurate and can be trusted. A must have.

Jay is a licensed pharmacist, having received his pharmacy degree from Duquesne University and his MSc in Allied Health from the University of North Florida.

He became interested in the holistic health care field while studying massage in Florida. Later, while associated with a holistic health clinic, he pursued homeopathic studies under the direction of A.J. Trofe, a naturopath.

Jay has worked for Humphreys Pharmacal, the nation's second oldest manufacturer of homeopathic remedies, and Weleda, an anthroposophical firm, and currently works as an independent retail pharmacist blending homeopathy into his pharmacy practice.

He is a member of several homeopathic organizations including the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia Convention of the United States.

Mr. Yasgur was the first to offer certified continuing education credits to homeopathic pharmacists when he presented his first talk and film to the Pinellas County Pharmaceutical Association, St. Petersburg, FL, in 1985. He also blends shamanic counseling and plant spirit medicine into his healing consultations.

Jay Yasgur is the author of Yasgur's Homeopathic Dictionary and Holistic Health Reference, 4th Ed'. He has written many homeopathic articles for Pharmacy Times, American Druggist and American Pharmacy, as well as Resonance, Simillimum, Lilpoh, Homeopathic Links, Journal of the American Institute, and Homeopathy Today.

His next book, '111 Great Homeopaths' will be published later in 2004.
