CONCORDANT MATERIA MEDICA
Concordant Materia Medica is a valuable compilation of many major materia medica sources. Starting with Boericke's Materia Medica, Vermeulen adds the combined essential information of nine major sources, including Hering's Guiding Symptoms. This impressive collection is then presented in a well considered and highly usable format.
Vermeulen's Concordant covers over 800 remedies. By combining the strengths of the various authors, Vermeulen presents a highly practical and portable volume — thorough, but with no repetition.
Vermeulen writes:

Volume I
With this book, Frans Vermeulen created a highly compact collection of data, which emerged over time from the remedy summaries he made for his students. It covers 190 major remedies, listing modalities, leading symptoms, a short repertory, food aversions or desires, a "nucleus", or summary of the most important symptoms. After 9 reprints in 12 years, The Silver Book has been revamped, rekindled, revitalized and restyled as The New Synoptic One.
Volume II
Meticulously executed with the same throughness as Volume I, this book focuses on 330 small remedies. It presents a broad spectrum of information for each one, including regions of the body affected, leading symptoms, repertory rubrics, and food desires / aversions / aggravations / ameliorations. This Third Edition, published at the end of 2003, reflects the fact that this approach led to the writing of Prisma - and makes a valuable companion volume for that master work.
