Julian Winston writes:A very in-depth discussion of the theoretical side of the miasms by J.H. Allen, who taught the subject in Chicago at the Hering College.
Allen wrote a third volume on Syphilis, but died before it was published. It was to be serialized in one of the Journals, but only one piece ever saw publication.

Born 1854, Died August 1, 1925
Dr. Allen was a student of H.C. Allen. He was the president of the IHA in 1900. Dr. Allen taught at the Hering Medical College in Chicago.
