What is new in this book is to turn colors into potentized remedies, for use by homeopaths and others who give remedies in potency.

This idea has required a big leap of acceptance even by homeopaths, but why should this be so? As Ambika argues so well in her introductory chapter, all matter is energy, of waveforms from the longest to the shortest.

If remedies can be made from minerals, plants, and animal sources, from solids, liquids, and gases and even from x-rays and other radioactive elements, then why not from colors, which occupy a part of the total wave spectrum?

Such was her premise, and this book is the first record of her researches into the effects of the various colors of the visible spectrum once potentized.

In homeopathy, information is gathered on the effect of possible remedies by testing them on healthy human volunteers. Many of us have tried out various colors in this way.

Frankly, I did not believe that I would experience anything, but that night I had a dream in which the entire scene was tinted, even people's clothes, in the color that I was unknowingly proving at the time!

So my skepticism was unfounded, and I was convinced by the strongest of testimonials, namely personal experience.

Others are now engaged in a series of very thorough homeopathic provings of these remedies, so that over an extended period of time and through a very careful collation of all the provers' notes of their experiences, a very detailed symptom picture will become available of all the colors.

Then it is to be hoped that these remedies will find their way into general acceptance, as they will be able to be prescribed according to well-documented symptom pictures.

Meanwhile, we have what for many of us has been the long-awaited opportunity to study this book and get a comprehensive overview of the color remedies. As practitioners and healers we need to be open-minded and receptive to whatever discoveries may help us to be more effective in our art, which is trying to restore the sick to health.

This book is proof that Ambika Wauters is innovative and full of insight. She is not content just to follow in the steps marked out by others, nor is she limited just to the processes of rational thought.

She does not get her knowledge out of books but directly from people. She is presenting to us in this book not only collated information about the colors and their effects but also her acquired wisdom concerning the makeup of humankind.

It is a privilege for me to have been asked to write this short preface, but even more now to be able to turn the pages and try to perceive and understand what is being offered to us here in this book.'
