The A Capella Singer Who Lost Her Voice & other stories from Natural Medicine is a collection of essays and patient cases from the files of a long time practitioner of natural medicine. From a patient with allergies to a defiant child, from a man with reflux disease to an infertile woman, Dr. Rothenberg’s compilation of stories and musings offers readers insight into both the philosophy and practicalities of approaches used in the clinic. Her story and this book help to define and exemplify the work of naturopathic medicine and further propel patients, medical colleagues and policy makers towards deeper understanding and appreciation of these effective and gentle approaches to healing. Reviews
In this charming, informative and inspiring book, Dr. Amy Rothenberg tells the story of her life as a doctor, mother and partner, and of her work with many patients. The book is philosophical, fun, poignant, practical, and a wonderfully entertaining addition to the literature of homeopathy and of natural healing.'

While the philosophy of naturopathic medicine – let natural heal – sounds enticing, what really counts is whether patients get better or not. Dr. Rothenberg’s book is wonderful – stories of real patients with difficult problems being healed. Enjoyable and even inspiring reading.

Amy Rothenberg ND, a longtime student of mine, presents herself and natural medicine in an astute but extremely sweet way. A nice exposition of natural medicine.
