Details

The Handbook of Veterinary Homeopathy, by John Rush, was published in 1854.

This book covers the homeopathic treatment of horses, oxen, pigs, and dogs. Other information regarding management, confinement, etc., is also provided where the author has experience.

Rush provides an easy-to-use approach that facilitates quick reference. Within each category of animal to be treated he first lists the condition with a short description.

He then provides a remedy differential of the medicines he has found useful in practice along with their applicable symptoms.

Heritage

Originally published in London by Jarrold and Sons; (no date known). "The Homeopathic Treatment of the Horse, the Ox, the Sheep, the Dog and the Swine."

The work was quoted in Ruddock's Veterinary Guide. It was re-printed five times by Boericke and Tafel between 1858 and 1911. It is still in print.
