Heritage

A collection of essays gleaned from homeopathic literature, encompassing 117 remedies.

"Many of the drugs we recognize as nuggets, which, although have not received the stamp of the official assayer, possess an indisputable value which gives them currency."

A 2nd edition, greatly enlarged to 608 pages, was published in 1917.

Julian Winston writes: A fascinating view into some smaller remedies, culled from literature to which most have no access. The making of Mullein oil, and the story behind the proving of Blatta are worth the price of the book.

Pacific Coast Journal of Homeopathy, March, 1900 Issue (Vol.VIII, p73),
Now Old and Forgotten Remedies
Papers by many writers.
Collected, arranged and edited by E. P. Anshutz.

In these days of abundant bookmaking the man who discovers a field not already occupied is bright beyond the common order of things; if he "strikes" something real useful and helpful he deserves unstinted praise.

Mr. Anshutz has succeeded in compiling a book which fills a vacant place and which beyond doubt will prove convenient and helpful to many a man who takes an active interest in materia medica and has not an exhaustive file of journals from which to glean the odd, stray articles or the time to keep track of them. He can find them conveniently arranged in this volume of nearly 400 pages.

The scientific and practical value of the articles or reprints herein offered is a question with which the compiler has nothing to do. It is nevertheless perfectly safe to assume that many of them are excellent and suggestive, while all may be read with interest and profit.
